Dream Player

Privacy

A plain summary of how Dream Player handles your data.

On your Mac

Your music’s audio is not uploaded to play or equalize it; automatic mode analyzes audio on the Mac itself. Queue, position, volume and preferences are saved locally. Removing a track from the queue does not delete the file.

Online features

  • Artwork: comes from embedded file tags or the current music app. Spotify artwork is downloaded from a URL supplied by Spotify. Dream Player does not search iTunes for missing artwork.
  • Song links: when you request a link for a track reported by Music, Apple’s iTunes Search can receive its artist and title to find that link, without downloading artwork.
  • Spotify: control requires Automation and may download the artwork the app provides; connecting your library is optional.

Artwork supplied by Spotify may be downloaded without connecting the optional library. As with any connection, these services may receive your IP address. The initial App Store version includes neither online lyrics nor Last.fm integration.

Purchases

Apple processes the subscription and restores. The app never receives your card details.

What the developer receives

The app has no ads or usage analytics and does not send your queue, files or listening history to the developer.

Email support

Resend processes support emails, including your address, message and attachments, so we can receive and respond to requests. Send only what is needed; do not send passwords, tokens or music.

This website

We do not add advertising cookies, trackers, analytics or forms to this site. Cloudflare hosts the pages and may process your IP address and technical request data to deliver the content and protect the service.
